Lake Erie整個湖面結冰了。這個緊接Ohio北邊五大湖之一的大湖。在這週整個湖面結冰了。恩，interesting，不是幾年前還在一直叫全球暖化，溫度只昇不減嗎？這個全球地標，北美第一大淡水湖系之一的伊略湖，整個結冰了，上次整個冰凍是在1995-1996黏的冬天。
其實去年的冷夏天，跟今年的冷冬天，已經讓那些整天鬼叫Global Warming 的人改口稱Climate Changes了。當全美除了夏威夷外的州都有積雪在地面上時，講全球暖化的論較要如何說服人呢？這是有氣象紀錄以來的第一次(而氣象紀錄在美國以大約100年而已，100年來定一個標準值是否也太扯了，地球有50億年左右的歷史耶)。恩，高爾是不是該把諾貝爾獎退回去呢？
其實叫做Climate Changes也是很奇怪，若是自然的氣候是上上下下的，我們有什麼權利硬定下一個所為的標準值呢？而近代文明的歷史有夠短的，整個科學世代才幾百年歷史，什麼叫做常態，什麼叫做異常。沒有人可以說了算。我們所要做的是，當問題發生了，想個辦法解決問題就是了，Life will find a way。and it's need to be a reasonable way。而我認為強制控制二氧化碳排放量是個不合理的目標。會把整個社會的經濟結構給整個摧毀。只會造成更大的問題。
Anyway, I am a non-believer of Global Warming or Climate Changes。I hate those environmental hippies。別跟我提什麼節能減碳的鬼玩意。

Snow, Snow, and more Snow。
正在冬季奧運缺雪跟低溫的時候，我們在Cincinnati可是跟溫哥華的天氣相反。已經好一陣子沒有體會攝氏零度以上的溫度了。上週下了兩場雪，沒有美東沿岸那幾個大城慘。譬如首府，華盛頓特區一日降下30英吋的積雪。但是we got our fair share。那兩場雪總和帶來了約10英吋吧。許多中小學停課，連大學也停課一天。好不容易城市的道路維持人員在週六把整個城市道路機雪清乾淨，他們以兩個輪班，每班12小時，日以繼夜的工作一週整。把雪清理乾淨，回家休息一天多，過個情人節。週日半夜雪神又降臨我們這邊了。
這次在30小時左右時間，將要降下10英吋的雪。我剛剛才在大雪中把車子上得積雪清一清，免得明天一次要清太多。剛去清的時候，大概也有3-4英吋的積雪在車上了。雪都還是粉狀的，所以拿刷子刷一刷就好了。在戶外呆個五分鐘，進來室內外套上就是一層薄薄的積雪了。Anyway，只要不開車出門，我還蠻喜歡降雪的，外面會變得很漂亮。只是開車，走路，跑步會變得比較麻煩就是了。
昨天下午在降雪前在公寓外頭拍的照片，天氣放晴，積雪未融的景觀。可以看到車子上面的雪幾天下來，都已經被駕駛清掉，或是太陽曬掉了。
今天早上的照片，一夜的雪下來，車子已經整個白頭了。剛去清雪的時候，有個駕駛嘗試開車進停車格。在幾吋的雪覆蓋上，整個車子打滑的非常厲害。現在城市進入二級緊急狀況。若是持續以這種強度降雪，我看距離三級緊急狀況不遠了，等到進入三級狀況，就是除了公務緊急車輛外，所有車輛將被禁止行駛在道路上。
Man, it's awesome。I have enough food at home. So, I will be fine。聽說週末將要有第四波降雪。I just want to laugh, that is all I want to say, haha。

之前看到魚夫寫的這篇部落格文章。本來就很喜歡荷蘭這個歐洲國家，個人跟荷蘭有過兩次造訪之緣。對這個國家頗有好感
。可惜兩次造訪之後。還是沒有踏進魚夫這篇筆下的梵谷博物館照訪。有點小遺憾，不過我有種感覺我應該會再度造訪阿姆斯特丹這個城市，so, I will be fine。I will back one day。
也因為對這個國家有好感，所以這次看冬季奧運時，在看到鏡速溜冰時，這個運動荷蘭是強項，也會希望看到荷蘭能夠奪牌。有看到荷蘭男子五千公尺的選手,Sven Krame,奪下金牌。
他在文章開頭提到的Don McLean的"Starry Starry Night"這首歌，我以前就超級喜歡這首歌的詞跟曲。我覺得超級美的，一種淡淡的哀愁的感覺。

我本來以為Don McLean在寫他的一個叫做Vincent的朋友的故事。一個不被人了解的感傷人生。我一直到讀了魚夫這篇文章才知道，原來Vincent指的是 Vincent van Gogh。哈哈。冏到了。 再度細看歌詞，以及那個Youtube連結的一些Vincent的畫作。Suddenly, it all makes sense。但是即便我不知道歌詞在寫誰的時候，我就被這首歌深深地吸引了。我本來是為了"American Pie"這首歌買的這張從LP翻印的CD，結果最愛的是這首Starring, Starring Night。不過American Pie也是很讚的。
anyway，再貼這個連結一次。欣賞一下這首優美的好歌。Starry, Starry Night。
